Osaka, Japan, July 18, 2010- Boonus, who is the mascot character and the goddess of victory for the FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship Japan 2010, visited Osaka and promoted the event.

From 15 July to 18, Beach Volleyball Japan tour was held in Nakanoshima, which is the central business area of Osaka. Top Japanese players made tough battles on special beach volleyball court emerging among the tall buildings. More than 4000 beach volleyball fans came to watch the games.

Boonus enjoyed watching beach volleyball games and came in contact with beach volleyball fans between the games. Boonus was liked especially by children and willingly accepted many offers of taking photo. The big screen TV in the venue, the promotional video of the world championship was aired repeatedly and Boonus and other staffs distributed pocket tissues and paper fans on which the world championship logo is printed.

In Osaka, Pool D of the world championship will be held from 29 October to 3 November. China, Russia, Dominican Republic, Korea, Turkey and Canada are in Pool D and best 4 teams of those will advance to the next round in Tokyo.
